Büşra Akman

Exploring the concepts of transhumanism and posthumanism in her artistic practice, Büşra Akman constructs body forms, interpreting the life that the concept of the superhuman attempts to develop within its own utopia through a surreal narrative.

(b. 1996, Antalya) Having graduated from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2019, Akman completed her master's degree with thesis in the Department of Painting at the same university in 2023. The artist, who has participated in exhibitions such as "Eye and Spirit" Exhibition MSKU Faculty of Fine Arts (2016), 2nd Drawing Workshop Exhibition MSKU Faculty of Fine Arts (2017), "World Art Day" Student Exhibition Hakan Ayhan Culture and Art Center (2018), "Original Printmaking Exhibition" MSKU Faculty of Fine Arts (2018), "Original Printmaking Exhibition" MSKU Faculty of Fine Arts (2017), "Graduation Exhibition" Şükran Rauf Nasuhoğlu Culture and Art Center (2018), and "Collective Painting Exhibition" Dada Salon Bodrum (2021), continues her life and work in Bodrum.
