EArt Gallery is hosting the first solo exhibition in Turkey of Dutch artist Eelco Hilgersom, “The Abstract Beauty of Nature”, which it represents as of Saturday, May 11, within the scope of the 2023-2024 gallery program.

Eelco Hilgersom’s fascination with the architecture created by nature since his childhood forms the basis of his creation of abstract works based on natural forms and organisms. Hilgersom, who looks for contrasts in shapes, colors and materials in all his works, describes his manifesto as “Touching the audience through the contrasts and complexity of the work and drawing them into this world I created.” summarizes as follows.

Using different techniques and materials in his works, the artist’s latest series “Habitat” and “Bloodline” are inspired by many organisms created by nature. In organisms that depict different structures and colors in an abstract way by mixing them, each shape and color reflects a different emotion.
