EArt Gallery, in its new permanent space at Akaretler No. 47, is hosting the group exhibition titled “Not In Order” from May 14th to June 14th. Curated by Dilara Güven, the exhibition brings together works by Ekin Keser, İlayda Çorlu, İlhak Altıparmak, Kemal Köse, Özge Akdeniz, Pınar Yılmaz, Reyhan Polat, and Şeyma Barut.

“Not In Order” centers on the expectations of conformity that often operate unnoticed in everyday life. The exhibition examines how the silent acceptances established around family, belonging, privacy, and the home regulate the body, speech, desire, and forms of visibility. The title suggests that this order is maintained not only through explicit prohibitions but also through habit, conformity, silence, withdrawal, and the effort to make oneself understood. Instead of fixing the idea of ​​home as a common theme, the works in the exhibition juxtapose the different tensions that arise around it, addressing gender, sexuality, language, generational transmission, privacy, and bodily positioning. Here, these issues appear not as separate matters, but as political lines intersecting within everyday relationships.

Making visible the codes embedded within the familiar, and opening a non-homogeneous but common line of protest against patriarchal habits, “Not In Order” on view at EArt Akaretler No:47 until June 14th.
